Tansel Dökeroğlu

Prof. Dr. Tansel Dökeroğlu received his undergraduate degree from the Military Academy, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1991. He was entitled to receive his Master's and Doctorate degrees from METU Computer Engineering Department in 2006 and 2014, respectively. He worked as a software engineer, database manager, decision support specialist and distance education system manager at the Ministry of National Defense, General Staff and Land Forces Command. He worked as a consultant, referee and project manager in TÜBİTAK projects, and as a manager in the European Union 7th Framework and Horizon 2020 projects. He taught part-time at METU Computer Engineering Department. He worked as a faculty member at THK Computer Engineering Department between 2015-2018. He currently works at TEDU Software Engineering Department. He continues his academic studies in the fields of Cloud databases, big data processing, mapreduce paradigm, query optimization, discrete optimization, heuristic algorithm design, genetic algorithms, software engineering, parallel/distributed computing, machine learning, and modeling and optimization of business processes on Cloud computing.
