Catalog Description
Technology enhanced language learning history. Research, innovations, language learning and teaching connections. Appropriate and effective evaluation, selection, adaptation, use, and development of various technological tools for language learning and teaching purposes. Technology enhanced language skills analyses. Online, blended and hybrid language teaching and learning settings.
Course Objectives

This course aims to equip learners with an overall understanding of the technology-enhanced language teaching and with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate technological innovations into language teaching. Students will gain awareness regarding how innovations and research concerning technology enhanced language teaching relate to different language teaching principles and skills. The course is also designed to highlight the criteria to be taken into consideration when selecting, evaluating, and developing technology-integrated resources for language teaching purposes, and for different settings including online, distance, and hybrid language learning and teaching.

  2. employ selected current research on innovative technologies,
  3. determine the main criteria of selecting and evaluating technological resources,

  5. design technology-enhanced materials for language teaching purposes in different settings.
