Catalog Description
Strategy development process. Internal and external analysis. Organization’s resources and competences from the perspective of top- level management. Strategic position and options. Various business strategies.
Course Objectives
This course serves as an overview of the tools, methods and processes that are required to develop and analyze business strategy of an organization. From the perspective of top-level management, organization’s resources and competences are identified. Given those facts and the macro environmental conditions, suitable business strategies are discussed.
Software Usage
Students will use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) to work on their weekly assignments about 2 hours a week.

1. Recall the Strategic Management Process to analyze and improve organizational performance
2. Describe an organization's strategic position (vision, goals & performance)
3. Conduct industry analyses (external analyses of an organization's environment & internal analyses of an organization's and competitors’ capabilities)
