Our Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gokce Nur Yilmaz’s project entitled as “An Ambient Light, Spatial Resolution, and Depth Cue Based 3 Dimensional Adaptation Model Enabling Enhanced Depth Perception Satisfaction and Efficient Communication Network Usage” has been found eligible to be supported by Tubitak ARDEB 1001 program.
The main objective of the project is to develop a novel 3D video adaptation model relying on spatial resolution and deep learning model prediction based depth cues to keep 3D vieweing experience and especially depth perception at an optimal level and to use communication network efficiently even under limited bandwidth, user device display size, and ambient illumination constraints.
This project can support the 3D video technologies and applications to be leaders in the fields ranging from health, education, defense, game to the enjoyment and the sharing increase in the national/international project market.
TEDU Computer Engineering and METU Electrical Electronics Engineering Departments will work in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary manner with this project.
