Orange Summit

The Youth Declaration, created in cooperation with @baskentgenclikmeclisi, @unwomenturkiye, @tedugenderstudies and @sdg5network, was presented by our students at the Orange Summit organized within the scope of the 25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Orange Summit is an important awareness raising event organized by Izmir 9 Eylül University @deuuskt Community in cooperation with the United Nations with the aim of ending violence against women. The event brought together gender equality advocates from around the world, creating a strong environment of solidarity.

During the event, Babatunde A. Ahonsi, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Turkey, came together and discussed various collaborations and youth work.

We believe that with this declaration emphasizing the active role of young people in the struggle for gender equality, the Orange Summit has taken a concrete step towards a more equal, just and violence-free world.
