Dr. Yücel Çimtay's Project to receive TÜBİTAK Support

The project by Dr. Yücel Çimtay, Faculty Member at the Department of Computer Engineering, "Development of a PC-based and Helmet-Integrated System for Correction of Deteriorating Vision Quality Due to Atmospheric Effects with Image Enhancement Techniques" has been entitled to receive support under the Tübitak 3501 program.

The project aims to improve visibility and visual quality in bad weather conditions. The project will provide benefits in various areas such as increasing awareness and recognizing dangers in advance in border surveillance conducted in bad weather conditions in the Defense Industry, reducing the number of canceled departures in sea, air and land transportation, preventing the disruption of first aid activities due to significant deterioration of visibility in situations requiring first aid such as fire extinguishing, and increasing the image quality in underwater archaeological studies.
