Catalog Description
Music teaching methods and techniques, note teaching techniques. Rrhythm and melody to organize songs with orff instruments. Effective use of the instrument in song teaching. Relationship between game, music, dance, drama and speech. Musical appreciation with the relationship between music and aesthetics. Music lesson activities and other disciplines. Activities related to the primary school music program.
Course Objectives

This course aims to support students to recognize the music teaching methods, and techniques, note teaching techniques, rhythm and melody to organize songs. The content of this course is desinged to integrate music into all curriculum areas by using materials and methods of teaching music. The course further aims to organize a learning environment in which children interact with musical materials and develop expression through music.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  2. recognize the types of music as a social and historical phenomenon,
  3. design musical experiences to foster creativity in primary education,
  4. integrate music into all curriculum areas by using materials and methods of teaching music,
  5. collect musical materials appropriate for use in a classroom,
  6. develop classroom environment in which children interact with musical materials.
