Mehmet Fırat Aydın
Mehmet Fırat Aydın graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2020. In the same year, he started his M.Sc. studies in the Structural Engineering subdivision and continues his thesis on the application of machine learning methods in the evaluation of existing structures under earthquake excitation. He has been working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at TED University, which he joined in October 2021. He also works as a Research Fellow in a project within the scope of the National Earthquake Research Program supported by AFAD.
His research interests are probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, structural reliability, linear and nonlinear structural analysis techniques, earthquake resistant design principles of structures, and the fragility assessment of existing buildings.
