Kürşat Çağıltay
Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay graduated as the highest-ranking student from the Department of Mathematics at Middle East Technical University (METU) and earned his Master’s degree from the Department of Computer Engineering at METU. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees from Indiana University, USA, in Instructional Technology and Cognitive Science.
He served as the Technical Group Manager of the team that brought the Internet to Turkey in 1993 as part of a project initiated by METU and TÜBİTAK. Between 2002 and 2022, he was a faculty member in the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at METU, and from 2022 to 2025, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering program at Sabancı University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Currently, he is the Dean of School of Education, TED University, Ankara Turkey.
According to a 2021 study, he was ranked among the top three most productive and influential researchers in the field of education in Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay’s academic research areas include technology-enhanced learning, learning engineering, human-computer interaction, eye-tracking technology, and virtual/augmented reality.
