Dr. Kübra Çelikdemir earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2018. Her doctoral dissertation focused on analyzing preservice mathematics teachers' noticing skills and professional identities through a video case-based community approach.

Dr. Çelikdemir holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Mathematics Education and a master's degree in Secondary Education Science and Mathematics Education, both from METU. Her postgraduate studies were centered on international assessment and comparative mathematics education.

Wroking Experience:

Since February 2021, Dr. Çelikdemir has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the TEDU Department of Elementary Education - Primary Education program. Her career began as an Educational Designer at an educational company located in METU Technopolis. During her doctoral studies, she worked as a research assistant at both METU and Gazi University. From 2018 to 2021, she held the position of Education Specialist at the Turkish Education Association think tank, TEDMEM.

Research Focus:

Dr. Çelikdemir's research interests include mathematics education, teacher identtiy, teacher noticing, international assessments such as PISA and TIMSS.
