Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the key concepts of design and analysis of experiments,
- Define the process of designing a statistical experiment,
- Characterize a problem or system to be analyzed by identifying design objectives, defining responses and their influential factors, and choosing factor levels,
- Use strategies for designing and conducting a statistical experiment,
- Apply basic skills of planning, designing, and conducting statistical experiments,
- Analyze data generated from the experiments using parametric statistical approaches and interpret the results,
- Evaluate advantages and disadvantages of different types of experimental designs.
