Catalog Description:

This is an introductory course designed to equip learners with conceptual, theoretical and analytical tools that will enable them to recognize and analyze ‘social’ and ‘political’ matters and develop satisfactory responses. To achieve these objectives, the course will make use of lectures, class discussions, group work, peer learning as well as critical readings and screenings of the relevant material. The primary motivation of the course is to support learners become conscious, critical and active readers of social and political events and eventualities.
