In the second episode of the TEDU Gender Podcast, Melek Özlem Sezer, author of “Tales and Gender”, analyzes tales by making connections with social conventions, ideology, masculine structure, interests of political power, genetic memory, and subconscious codes. She questions how we can find the kissing of a dead person romantic, or why we are not surprised that two young children are abandoned in the woods by their parents. On the one hand, she warns the listener of classical tales, on the other hand, she draws attention to the elegance of the tales that she describes as noble.

The first meeting of collaboration between TED University, ÜNİDİP (University and Business Collaboration Platform) and TÜSİAV (Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Foundation) was hosted by TED University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu and Secretary General Levent Küpeli.

Radio TEDU has won the Best University Radio of the Year award in the 5th BAU Music OnAir Awards. Radio TEDU staff, who have won the first place among 10 different university radios by public vote, celebrated their success with the Acting Rector, Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu.

Our university has signed a collaboration agreement with the Central Anatolia Branch of PERYÖN People Management Association of Turkey.

Within the scope of the agreement signed by Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu, TED University Acting Rector and Güzin Gün, PERYÖN Central Anatolia Branch President, the parties will establish a multifaceted collaboration in terms of internship, training, and prospective student programs.  

In Spring 2022, TED University Trade Research Center will host a seminar series with four distinguished economists to discuss the recent troubles of global trade. The first speaker is Beata Javorcik, EBRD chief economist and professor of economics at the University of Oxford. Register here.

The Sustainability Working Group, which was established with the decision of the University Senate on October 14, 2021, has started working!

The article titled “Money Growth and Social Stability” co-authored by Prof. Dr. Erdem Başçı, our faculty member at the Department of Economics, has been published in Central European Review of Economics and Management (CEREM). The article addresses two sustainable development goals, SDG 8 about economic growth and SDG 10 reduced inequalities.

Our Mechanical Engineering Department lecturer, Dr. Şehram Dizeci's Project, " Developing an Inclusive Damage Model in Adhesively- Bonded Dissimilar Materials " was supported for 30 months within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program. The main purpose of the project is to develop an inclusive damage assessment model for the prediction of the problems in bonding dissimilar materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and CFRP with adhesive joints.
