Aylin Budak Gelen
Aylin Budak Gelen graduated from TED Ankara College in 1981.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Chemical Engineering. She began her professional life responsible for the quality control at the start-up of Petlas Tyre Factory, in Kırşehir. Then within the Directorate of International Relations of the Institute of Turkish Standards (TSE) in Ankara served as the Technical Secretary of the Technical Committee to the International Standards Organization (ISO). Later she served as trainer and as management system specialist at the Quality Department, which had been founded in 1989. After working as an Advisor related to “ISO 9000” at a private company between 1995-1998; in 1998 she started working as Unit Supervisor and Quality Management Representative at TUBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey - SAGE (Defense Industries Research and Development Institute). In 2008, she retired due to health problems.
Later she took part during the establishment of associations like IBAYDER (Association of the First Sight – Assistance to the Low Vision) and Eng-Kad (Association for Disabled Women) which are pioneers in their fields. She has good command of English and currently, is working at TED University - Corporate Communications Executive Unit in Ankara.
