Catalog Description
Introduction to sustainability in construction. Green buildings. Ecological design. Green building evaluation and certification systems. Design process of green buildings. Green construction operations. Green buildings economics. Case studies with recent technology.
Course Objectives
Main aim of this course is to provide the background information to how and why green buildings came about, together with state-of-the-art tools and techniques used for green construction. Global environmental metrics will be presented and discussed for this purpose.
